The Dixieland Stompers
We are a Dixieland jazz band, based in Redhill, Surrey. We were formed in 1995 when Paul Brennan, our Band Leader, an ex-Royal Marines bandsman, got together with some musician friends to enjoy playing Dixieland music, and the rest is history....
Over the years, we have performed at various venues across the South East, including the Golden Jubilee celebrations in Merstham, various charity events, and numerous private functions. In 2009 we were privileged to be invited to play at the Seaford Festival in Sussex, and we also entertained holidaymakers at Haven Holidays' Lydstep Beach Holiday Village in Tenby, Wales.
Further afield we have played in Paris, and travelled frequently to play in Eschweiler, our twin town in Germany.
Although we are primarily a Dixieland jazz band, we are happy to perform as a Dance Band if this is preferred. We have even developed a set as a German Oompah band for speciality evenings.
